Sesigo SACCOS was recently invited to the Botswana Harvard Partnership (BHP) to conduct an educational session on cooperatives and introduce its financial products to staff members. This engagement followed a formal agreement that will allow employees of the institute to become members of Sesigo SACCOS and benefit from its savings and loan services.

The session began with an overview of the cooperative movement, where Sesigo SACCOS explained what cooperatives are, how they operate, and the unique benefits they offer to members. Emphasis was placed on the member-owned structure of cooperatives, the culture of collective financial empowerment, and how SACCOS create opportunities for members to save, access affordable credit, and build long-term financial security.
Following the educational segment, the Sesigo team introduced the range of financial products and services available to members, including savings plans and loan facilities designed to support different financial needs. Employees were also guided through the membership process and how deductions can conveniently be made directly from their salaries.
The engagement was well received, with staff members showing strong interest through questions and discussions about how Sesigo SACCOS can support their financial goals. Through this partnership, employees of the Botswana Harvard Institute across Botswana can now contact the Sesigo SACCOS office for enquiries, and once enrolled, their savings and loan repayments will be conveniently deducted from source.
This collaboration marks an important step in expanding financial inclusion and cooperative awareness within the institution while empowering employees to take advantage of member-driven financial services.
