Why Should You Become a Member of Sesigo SACCOS?
Sesigo Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (Sesigo SACCOS) is a member owned financial institution established in August 2001 under the Botswana Cooperative Act. It was founded by employees of the US Mission in Botswana and has since grown into an inclusive financial cooperative that is now open to all Batswana citizens aged 18 years and above. Guided by the principle “Gateway to Members’ Financial Freedom,” Sesigo SACCOS provides a safe and trusted platform for savings, responsible borrowing, and long-term financial empowerment.
These include ordinary savings, affordable loans, retirement planning, education funding, and funeral plans. Members earn competitive interest on their savings and enjoy access to low interest loans. They also benefit from in house financial coaching to support informed financial decisions.
Sesigo SACCOS operates under a democratic governance structure based on one member, one vote. This allows members to actively participate in decision making through Annual General Meetings. Located at Fairgrounds Office Building in Gaborone, Sesigo remains committed to innovation, transparency, and community development. The Society continues to empower Batswana by promoting a strong savings culture and building sustainable financial independence.
